Building a More Resilient Community Together
In 2017, I took the intial steps in a personal journey to make a real difference in Youth Mental Health, a cause deeply personal to me. My chosen path? Self-designed extreme walking events, each one pushing me to my physical and mental limits, testing my resilience while raising awareness for this important cause. I have been fourtunate to complete 5 of these events over the last 7 years.
My Latest Challenge:
On April 6th-7th, 2024, I took on my most challenging walk yet: a grueling 30-hour, 206,000-step non-stop walk around Blacktown Olympic Park Athletic Stadium. This event, called Step into Action, wasn't just about personal accomplishment; it was about the beginning of building a connected walk community.
The Power of Connection:
What has truly impacted me from the walks isn't any personal achievement but the incredible sense of community that has emerged. Building resilience together, sharing stories, offering encouragement, and people simply showing they care.
